Currently accepting editing clients for projects of various sizes.

Ms. Molony is Godsend. She took my story to another level while staying true to my voice as an author. While editing, she remained sensitive to my responses and went the extra mile. Her enthusiasm is so contagious and motivated me to increase my expectations for myself and strive to produce a professional product.

Rebecca D. (Novel Client)

I recently hired Janelle to edit my new book. Janelle was extremely honest and critical in all the right ways, coming from a very different perspective than I had considered. Janelle also helped me to break up the lengthy chapters and reorganize pieces which didn’t quite “fit” where I originally written them. I am very happy with Janelle’s services and I would highly recommend her!

Megan B. (Novel Client)

Each project will differ in need. A short, well thought out and self-edited piece may only need some simple proofreading. A longer, more complex piece may require some developmental assistance. Here’s the basic rundown, but know that a custom quote can be arranged after a detailed conversation with the client:

Developmental Edit (In-Depth, Conceptual, Plot Points, Readability, Etc.)
If there is a sentence that is grammatically perfect… but doesn’t make sense in context, is out of sequence, or should be in a different chapter to eliminate a hole in the plot. then this is the type of service you want to ask for. I can assist with characterizations, dialogue consistency, energy/speed/ease of reading, eliminate repetitions, rephrase weak spots, and ask “tough” questions to help your work shine brighter.
Per Word Price: $0.02 USD

Basic Proofreading (Grammar, Punctuation, Simple Formatting, Etc.)
If you don’t want me to touch your words whatsoever, but need to make sure you get an “A” for technical perfection, this is the type of service you want.
Per Word Price: $0.01 USD

What is a per word price? It is exactly what it sounds like. For however many words I look at… that’s how much the total will be.

Want to TRY before you BUY?
For larger projects, I will provide a sample edit of the first 4-5 pages (double-spaced, 12pt. font) for $20 (billable through PayPal).

How to begin?

Contact me with a description of your manuscript, length (word count) and desired time to completion. Please note that I may have multiple clients in the cue and desire to provide quality services to each without rushing. This may affect your project schedule.

Example: A 60,000-word novel requiring in-depth developmental line editing *could* take up to 2 months.
